Update on the old Ford truck restoration
Just a update, that i recorded Thursday June, 18 2009 around 10:00PM I forgot to mention the 1991 1 ton Ford E-series ambulance front coil springs we picked up at Cory’s auto wreckers, they where installed already in the video, it just slipped my mind, and with some slight modification they fit like a glove, and now the front end has less rake, and the front end should have no reason to dive, and it should also stiffen up the side to side movement sway, there really heavy duty springs and didn’t budge much under the trucks weight, heck these coil springs had to hold up the front end of a ambulance that had a diesel, also more updates coming soon, as more gets done, but this is where the truck sits right now in restoration, again thanks for showing interest by watching this video, and thanks for being a subscriber again here are the specs, Truck is a short box F-150 From the center of the front fender edge, to the floor is 37 inches From the center of the rear fender edge, to the floor is 41 inches Tires:31″ Dominator A/S Rims: 15″ vintage Keystone Turbines Motor: rebuilt 1971 302w with Edelbrock performer intake and 4bbl Edelbrock performer carb Transmission: rebuilt and strengthened AOD Transfer case: New Process 205 (NP-205) Front open axle: Dana 44 (3.50 gear ratio) Rear open axle: Ford 9″ (3.50 gear ratio) many other small mods i will go over in another video,
