Antique and classic fire and rescue apparatus from the 1980′s and earlier (except the last two, which are part of the present-day Frankenmuth Fire Department) parading down Main Street in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The parade included classic American LaFrance, Cadillac, Chevrolet/GMC, Crown, Dodge, Ford, Hahn, Mack, Pierce, Seagrave, and Sutphen models. Many old rigs from around Michigan were represented, as well as some from other states and even Canada and Mexico. Please excuse the wet lens; the weather did not want to cooperate. I also apologize for all the cars; the police did not have the brains to close off the street and re-route traffic (which not only was distracting to the people who were trying to watch the parade, but was also putting the people who were riding the fire trucks at risk).
